You could be right David, possibly older than first year, on a close look
there is some hint of white on the breast?  The even trailing edge shows
that it is not second year as these have a jagged trailing edge due to mix
of long 1st-year feathers and shorter older feathers.  Definitely a Bald
eagle though.
