[birding] Glaucous Gull 03-12-09

Hello Everyone,

Marcia Cutler and I just got back from viewing the GLAUCOUS GULL at the Coffin Butte Landfill.  We got view of it flying over the dump across from the headquarters parking lot, and when it landed at the afternoon resting ponds at the end of Coffin Butte Road.  We believe the one we saw is a 2nd year gull.

Thanks to Rich Armstrong for finding and reporting this county bird.
