1. glen lindeman & i lead a small group to e e wilson before the toketie and dump adventure.
2. it was cold but very clear and we did the north side past the ponds and out to the sparrow area near the barn and back.
3. highlights
PILEATED WOODPECKER - close flyby
OSPREY - perched over ponds
TREE & VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS
HUTTON'S VIREO - singing and cooperative
BROWN CREEPER - climbing a tree of course
PIED-BILLED GREBE - actually calling
BELTED KINGFISHER
TURKEY VULTURE - both perched and soaring
NORTHERN SHRIKE - area around the barn
NORTHERN HARRIERS - male doing sort of mating flights
LINCOLN'S & FOX SPARROWS - seen well by all
LESSER GOLDFINCH & HOUSE FINCHES
VARIED THRUSH - 1 uncooperative, only 1 we found looking at tons of robins
and the usual suspects included green-winged teal, ring-necked ducks, mallards, coots
