[birding] Caspian Tern, Peoria, Linn Co.

When I stepped out the door at 5:30 this morning to get the paper, I heard a distinctive, ugly croak out over the river and caught a glimpse of a Caspian Tern.  We've seen them here three times before: 7/1/2004, 5/4/2005, 3/7/2007.  Usually they have been alone--once a pair--and they have always been flying south over the river.  These kinds of sightings make me wonder how many other, quieter, birds fly past when I'm not looking.
