[birding] Affect of urban noise on songbirds

Hello,

I wondered for years how urban noise impacts birds. Even in suitable
habitat, as one would expect, the noise changes the dynamics of song.
Clinton Francis from the University of Colorado has conducted some
experiments. What he found is, in addition to the way birds sing, the
diversity goes down but the remaining species thrive.
