Hi folks,

Today a pair of NORTHERN HARRIERS were engaged in a display flight over
E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area, and a PILEATED WOODPECKER began calling from
Tampico Ridge above our place.

The number of displaying HOODED MERGANSERS on the canal pond at E.E.
Wilson continues to increase, and a pair of LESSER SCAUP showed up
today. Three RACCOONS were napping in the upper branches of an Oregon
ash tree, along the canal east of the canal pond.

Happy birding,
Joel

P.S. No saw-whet heard at our place this morning; instead one of the
Great Horned Owls was calling.
