1. paula & i started at corliss road where we heard the BLACK PHOEBE that paul adamus found on the cbc. it called a number of times but we could not find it.
2. no burrowing owl on llewellyn, and it looks like they have changed the culverts such that there will probably not be one there again.
3. on greenberry there was a dark morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK - a very striking bird. greenberry is where to go if you want red-tails, harriers, rough-legs - there are a lot.
4. we drove through finley as well hoping for a gyrfalcon since randy campbell had one in linn flying toward finley awhile ago, but no luck.
5. molly monroe says she heard a BLACK PHOEBE again behind finley hq. we did not find it.
6. the LEWIS' WOODPECKER found by paula over a month ago is still on finley road just west of the old hq.
7. it looks like BALD EAGLES may again be about to use a traditional nest that can be seen from finley road just north of the prairie overlook.
