[birding] Corvalis, Great Horned Owl, Scrub-Jay whisper song

Hello,

12-27 at dusk, about 4:45 pm, we saw a Great Horned Owl fly from Dunawi Creek northward over Research Way and beyond.

12-26 Yesterday on Brooklane by the pond next to Marys River Natural Area, we heard a Western Scrub-Jay do its soft whisper song. Some day, maybe I'll get a video of this. Until then here's a YouTube link of a captive Scrub-Jay:
