Hi birders,
The large flock of Tundra swans was back this morning on either side of Linn West Rd along with significantly greater amounts of standing water in the field on the north side of the road. I had the scope with me this morning to do a quick scan to look for Trumpeter swans (none noted). The temporary pond contained at least 50 Pintails, a smaller number of Green-winged teal and American wigeon, and at least three Dunlin.
A small, paved pull off is present at the entrance to the field, and makes a good spot for scoping and studying Tundra swan variation.
