[birding] Black-bellied Plovers

At lunchtime I took a quick ride over to Smith Road to check out the BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS that Tom Snetsinger found this morning.  I counted 29.  I had a scope and I looked without success for any oddballs in the bunch.  They were hunkered down, though, and not terribly close, but they did fly up, once, and the only oddball turned out to be a killdeer.  There were a lot of Killdeers farther out in the field, and a Golden Plover could have been hiding among them.
