I saw or heard white-throated sparrow, de junco, robin, rs flicker, scrub jay, yr warbler, crow, starling, h sparrow, c waxwing, and singing h finch on this chilly morn across 3 miles of Corvallis by bicycle. The birds were active and probably rejoicing in surviving the brutal night.

The species I am having a hard time encountering this winter is ruby-crowned kinglet. I have only heard a handful in the last few weeks and they are conspicuously missing from their usual haunts.
