Hello All,
Yesterday around 4 pm I stopped in on Bruce Rd. to see what was happening. Just over the RR tracks there was water on the field to the north and about 75 shorebirds. I didn't have a scope, but it looked like mostly DUNLIN with a few DOWITCHERS. The ponds have a nice mixture of MALLARDS, WIDGEON, GW TEAL, N SHOVELERS, and PINTAILS. On the other side of Muddy Creek, an entertaining chase by juv. BALD EAGLE after a KESTREL while a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK watched from a perch at the edge of the tree line.
For those feeding ANNA'S, watch these frozen nights. A male and female were waiting for me to thaw the bottle this morning.
P.S. Snowy Owls have arrived in central Wash.
