Hello,
12/1/09 Downtown Albany
I took a brief lunch walk. At the courthouse, beneath a redwood, were
feathers from a pigeon. All feathers were cleanly plucked with unbroken
shafts. It seems likely the pigeon was killed by bird, probably a Cooper's
Hawk but I can't rule out a Great Horned Owl or Red-tailed Hawk.
At the downtown riverfront, there was a pair of, male & female,
Buffleheads. I also heard a kingfisher rattle.
