i spent 3 hours tromping around e e wilson this morning - the weather was excellent.
1. i did not find joel's dusky flycatcher. in fact no empidonax at all that i could practice misidentifying.
2. there were wislon's, orange-crowned, and yellow-rumped warblers in the area. also my foy WARBLING VIREO and BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD.
3. i also did not find nashville warblers where joel found them yesterday. some common yellowthroats in there with the usual suspects.
4. 4 osprey over the ponds, and a HERMIT THRUSH along the path.
5. i walked out to joel's SOLITARY SANDPIPER pond and there were 4 of them, 1 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and 11 peeps that without a scope i would call 1 WESTERN and 10 LEAST SANDPIPERS. also 1 female hooded merganser
6. at toketie marsh there was a pair of canada geese with 8 young that i would describe as middleschoolers.
