Another day, another Nashville warbler sighting at Stewart Lake (HP). Considering that Jim Anderson & I have 4 records there prior to yesterday (since the first in Spring, 2001), this has been fun! Even better views today as it was lower, in thicker growth north of the large maple along the southeast side of the lake.  (Jim and Neil Lidstrom were again there as well.)

It was also a banner day for raptors:
2 - Bald Eagle (flying over, towards the river, high)
2 - N. Harrier (also flying high)
1 - Red-tailed Hawk
2 - TurkeyVultures

Ducks have thinned out with only Ring-necked (2 pair), Lesser Scaup (pair), and American Wigeon (1 pair) remaining with the mutt Mallards. A pied-billed grebe has been more frequent after the species was absent for about 3.5 weeks in March.

A handful (3+) of Orange-crowned Warblers were found around the lake and about half a dozen Yellow-rumped, with both Myrtle and Audubon's represented.

Bushtits have a new nest on the west side and we've seen a pair on the east side.
Coots are down to 15.

No dragonflies nor turtles spotted yet--too cold.
