[birding] Gulls at Coffin Butte; Cabell Marsh, 21 Dec

I stopped by Cabell and Coffin Butte for a while this morning. Here are some
highlights from the cold, foggy morning.

Coffin Butte:

1 - Glaucous x Glaucous-winged Gull hybrid (adult)
4 - Ring-billed Gulls (all adult)
1 - California Gull (adult)
26 - Herring Gulls (19 ad, 1 2nd-cycle, 6 1st-cycle)
8 - Glaucous-winged Gulls (4 ad, 2 2nd-cycle, 6 1st-cycle)
2 - Thayer's Gulls (1 2nd-cycle, 1 1st-cycle)
1 - Western x Glaucous-winged Gull (1st-cycle)

Cabell Marsh:

203 Tundra Swans
4 Gadwall
6000 Mallards
1000 Northern Pintails
1500 Green-winged Teal
260 Ring-necked Ducks
2 Lesser Scaup
2 Bufflehead

Probably even more dabblers were back in the flooded marshy area on the
south edge.  Too foggy at McFadden to see very many birds.
