1. i am embarrassed to tell you i made it to elliott sewage ponds for only the 1st time this season this morning.
    a. 20 BUFFLEHEAD
    b. 6 HOODED MERGANSERS (no males)
    c. 10 RING-NECKED DUCKS
    d. 20+ SHOVELERS
    e. 1 WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in with the usual song, white-crowned, golden-crowned, fox sparrows, towhees.
    f. at least 2 PURPLE FINCHES separate from the many house finches
    g. 10+ RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS
    h. 1 GREAT EGRET flew over
    i. big flock of 20+ CALIFORNIA QUAIL
    j. only 1 yellow-rumped warbler - a myrtle
2. i also made 1st trip to jackson frazier wetlands (since my son no longer goes to cheldelin i will not go there as often). the house beyond the entrance that last year had 3 white-throated sparrows had very few sparrows, but 
    a. 15 black-capped chickadees
    b. 20+ MOURNING DOVES
    c. i estimate 8 ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS (mostly males) - hard to count as they zip everywhere
    d. i GREAT EGRET flew over
