Hello Everyone,

Starting this Saturday, July 21, 2007, the Audubon Society of Corvallis will open the Hesthavn Nature Center to the public from 9 AM to 2 PM. There will be volunteers to share what there is to see and do while at the center. There's lots of birds coming to the feeders--Black-headed Grosbeak, Chestnut-back Chickadee, Bushtit, Mourning Dove, Steller's Jay, Dark-eyed Junco, Rufous Hummingbird, Red-breasted nuthatches, and Red-breasted Sapsuckers to name some of the regulars. If you like native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees we have almost 6 acres for you to enjoy walking along a trail.

Hesthavn Nature Center, 8590 NW Oak Creek Road, Corvallis Oregon, will be open to the public on July 21, 2007 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Bring your children and grandchildren to see museum specimens, nest and egg display, live beehive demonstration case, view live birds at feeders, take a walk along a nature trail. Future dates will be August 18, September 29, October 27, and November 10. Make plans for family visits. For map directions www.audubon.corvallis.or.us or contact Paula Vanderheul for information. 541-752-0470 vanderp at peak.org
